This week I’m not writing on an specific topic or showcasing new work, but to give you a couple updates on some different things I’ve been up to.

Last week I started a new canvas that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. This time, I decided to take a quite different approach compared to the last canvas I did. After seeing how some work looks on raw canvas, for instance Giorgio Griffa’s, I decided to buy a roll of unstretched and unprimed canvas and try to do something with it. Besides the appeal of raw canvas, it’s also much cheaper and easier to store.

The main highlight was yesterday’s morning spent at Mesh Print Club in Rotterdam for an introductory members course. The space is amazing and the screen printing process is just too addictive. I won’t bore you with all the details but I’ll tell one thing: There is going to be a lot more screen printing on your inbox for the next few Thursdays.

The final update I have for you this week is that I did a small change to (de)conceptualise’s online presence. From now on, my main website will be at www.deconceptualise.com from where you can then access the journal (this newsletter you are reading) and the online shop.

Think of it as a lobby. Maybe it’s just missing some music.
